About the event
Join us for a two-hour guided walk where we’ll explore the open heath for fungi found in this unique habitat.
We’ll identify as many species as possible using macro features – please note, we never pick fungi on our tours. Along the way, we’ll delve into the often strange and surprising ecology of each species, learning how they interact with the wider woodland ecosystem.
The walk is taken at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to observe, discuss, and enjoy the fungi we encounter. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience, this walk is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding and appreciation of the fungal world.
Full joining instructions, including the meeting point, will be sent around 48 hours before the walk.
We hope you can join us for this fascinating journey into the hidden world of fungi!
