Explore the hidden world of fungi across the New Forest

Join us for a fascinating six-hour adventure exploring some of the New Forest's richest habitats for fungi. Travelling in our comfortable Wild New Forest Guided Tours minibus, we'll visit two or three carefully selected locations, including ancient deciduous woodland, conifer woodland and, where conditions are suitable, heathland.

Each habitat supports its own unique community of fungi, and by exploring a variety of locations we'll maximise our chances of discovering an impressive range of species while learning about the vital role fungi play within the forest ecosystem.

Throughout the day, your guide will share fascinating insights into fungal ecology, identification and the remarkable relationships between fungi, trees and wildlife. Along the way, we'll also keep an eye out for autumn birds, deer and other seasonal wildlife.
